"Vikhlop (high caliber special sniper rifle) - silenced sniper rifle chambered 12.7mm AP rounds. It was designed for Russian FSB special forces. Unique weapon with the unique characteristics, which has no analouges in the world."
- — Description.
The Vikhlop is the Contract Wars unique sniper.
Overview
This weapon can only be obtained from Sniper skill tree. The true real life name of this rifle is the VKS Vykhlop, which was avoided by the developer to refrain from copyright violation. The weapon is also known by the title VSSk.
Designed as an anti-materiel rifle capable of penetrating even Class Six body armor behind hard cover at 200 meters, the Vikhlop is the single most powerful sniper rifle in the game. It comes with exceptional characteristics including the highest damage and range of sniper rifle in the game (second highest damage in the game behind the Thor pistol), excellent penetration capable of piercing multiple layers of wood, metals and some types of rocks, fast round cycling time and good accuracy all the while being completely silent thanks to the integrated silencer. However, the trade-off for these characteristic are the second lowest mobility of all sniper rifles (after the TKPD Sniper), low magazine size and somewhat slow reload, but with a proper skill tree (including Heavy's heavy weapon fast reload skill), the Vikhlop will have the highest reload speed of all sniper rifles in the game.
The Vikhlop comes by default with a Hensoldt scope capped at x22 zoom. This can be troublesome for some players because of the relatively low field-of-view for the scope's extremely high zoom, and a somewhat obstructive reticle. The Vikhlop is an excellent rifle for camping and squad support playstyles, and can be occasionally useful for no-scoping aggressive assault.

Trivia
- It's huge penetration likely comes from it's real life purpose of engaging enemies wearing tough body armour, and/or behind hard cover(since the Vikhlop is one of three guns in-game that are able to shoot through solid objects, e.g. stones and walls)
- The silencer is decorated with a flame decal. This might indicate that the user had given it a little personal touch.
